Mini Research Project 1

Hello!  Standard!

1. (Due Thursday June 9, 2005) Submit the name of a standard related to computer network.  Also, briefly describe what issues the standard intends to addresses.  No duplicate standard can be used in the second part of this mini project; hence, the sooner you submit the name of the standard, the better chance that you do not have to resubmit the name because someone else has already submitted.
2. (Due Thursday June 23, 2005) A report about the chosen standard that is approved by me.  In the report, you should describe in detail the problem that the standard tries to address, what solution is suggested by the standard, and the impacts of the standard.
