Mini Research Project 1

Search the Internet, electronic journals using e-library.  Select 5 articles about software engineering that you are interested.

  1. (Due Monday June 13, 2005) Bibliographies of these 5 articles.  You should order these articles according to your preferences. Each bibliography entry should include author, title, source (journal name, book name, URL, etc), published date, volume, and pages.  The acceptable file formats for this assignment are Endnote, Reference Manager, and BibTeX.  You may want to use the open-source software “Jabref” to help organize your bibliographies.  Jabref can be downloaded from http://jabref.sourceforge.net.  Since no students can select the same article the second part of this mini research, the sooner you submit the bibliography, the better chance that you don’t have to resubmit the bibliographies because your selections have been already submitted by someone else.
  2. (Due Monday June 27, 2005) The approved article together with a five-page summary.  In the summary, you should describe what the article is about, what impact of the technique or concept to the current practice or technology, your opinion or result of your applying of the technique or concept described in the article.
